Lamborghini has officially presented the Temerario GT3, a model that replaces the Huracán GT3 Evo 2 as the brand’s official car in GT3 category competitions.
This launch marks an unprecedented achievement for the Italian manufacturer: it is the first race car fully designed and built internally at its headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese.
The new GT3 retains the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine from the street version, but with smaller turbochargers and without the hybrid system, in accordance with category rules. As a result, the race car’s power is reduced to about 550 hp, well below the over 900 hp of the conventional version. The transmission has also been changed, replacing the eight-speed automatic with a six-speed sequential gearbox, ideal for track use.
To gain lightness and agility, the Temerario GT3 chassis was taken from the production line and exclusively adapted for racing, removing unnecessary components.
The model’s body, made entirely of carbon composite material, was developed jointly by the aerodynamics teams of Squadra Corse and the design team at Lamborghini Centro Stile, balancing the model’s visual identity with the technical demands of the tracks.
